It's a whole new world again

I love creating a new world in my mind and sharing it on the pages of my books. I find creating that world takes time.

My hat is off to sci-fi writers who paint a world so dissimilar to ours that it is all different and exciting. Green skies and orange landscapes are beyond me. What I do enjoy is creating a community.

That's why I love writing a series. I find it's easier to engage, at first, with a few characters. Then, as the story builds more and more characters are included. It's fun to see a name and have a background for that character.

In my Consequences series, Tony and Claire were the stars, but their supporting cast was outstanding and such an important part of their story. As Tony and Claire's character ARCS grew so did those of the supporting cast.

SPOILER: Tony's progress throughout the series wasn't only seen with Claire, but with Brent and Courtney, even with John and Emily.

Someone as seemingly unimportant as a college friend who saw Claire in Chicago and talked with her, became pivital in the story that is Consequences.

Finding magic like that again...isn't easy. It doesn't just happen. These imaginary people must come to life in my head.

I'm thrilled beyond words to say, it's happened again.

As I close the cover on the second book of my new Infidelity series, Cunning, I can say without a doubt that I have a whole new world. It isn't only about Nox and Charli. There are many other players whose roles have yet to be determined as well as villains who become even more villainous. With each word and page these new characters, the stars and supporting cast, are burrowing deeper into my imaginary world.

Cunning, unedited, is 378 pages...over 100 pages longer than its predecessor, Betrayal. I'm in love with this new world.

Thank you for letting me play with my new imaginary friends, even at 50 years of age. I hope you'll come and play with them too!

I promise, I loved the Consequences cast, but with Infidelity, Betrayal, Cunning, Deception, Entrapment, and Fidelity, it's a whole new world!
